Villagers drink water directly from the river adjacent to their village which often results in stomach ailments and causes them to urinate blood. CRS is constructing a borehole that will provide enough fresh water for 500 families or 2,500 people for up to 50 years. In total CRS will build 15 boreholes and repair another 5 in Terakeka county and will train community members in hygiene promotion and water pump repair.
